Albemarle Regional Health Services (ARHS) strives daily to serve the citizens of northeastern North Carolina.

Our programs include children's developmental services, home care and hospice, adult day health, clinical services, immunizations, women, infants, and children, diabetes management, health promotion and health education, disaster planning and response, transportation, environmental health, and waste management.

These services work to create and enhance community partnerships to promote the prioritization of health objectives that are based on the assessment of community and individual health needs, offering solutions to health concerns. In addition, we support education and personal empowerment surrounding healthy decisions, encouraging preventive health actions, and assuring access to quality care.

Albemarle Pediatric Asthma Coalition

Through the multidisciplinary team approach, the Albemarle Pediatric Asthma Coalition will develop, implement, and evaluate interventions with the communities of care to enhance the quality of life for those individuals living with asthma.


 
CDSA

Children's Developmental Services Agency

The Children's Developmental Services Agency in Elizabeth City is one of 18 early intervention centers providing Infant Toddler services across North Carolina.

ARHS Environmental Health ensures the health and safety of residents while reducing the threat of the spread of communicable diseases through evaluation and education of environmental health policies and regulations.

The Health Education Team begins with the assessment and identification of community health issues and problems. While identifying diseases as significant health problems that cause disability, mortality, premature death, and morbidity.

Healthy Communities programming increases opportunities for healthy eating and physical activity opportunities in the schools, worksites, and communities.


 
Carolinians

Healthy Carolinians

Healthy Carolinians is part of a state-wide effort to encourage counties to identify priority health issues and create or support coalitions and collaborative efforts that address them.


 
ICPTA

Inter-County Public Transportation Authority

ICPTA services are intended to transport the general public to nutrition sites, medical appointments and other locations in order to access services or attend activities related to daily living, while promoting improved quality of life.



 
PHPR

Public Health Preparedness & Response

Through our Public Health Preparedness & Response (PHP&R) program, we aim to work with our communities to keep everyone safe and prepared for any disaster, along with local emergency management partners and response agenices.

Albemarle Regional Solid Waste Management Authority

ARSWA is a local government program that serves seven counties in northeastern North Carolina: Dare, Currituck, Perquimans, Chowan, Gates, Tyrrell, and Hyde.
