Cancer Support Group Meeting will be 4:30 May 14th at the Merchants Millpond State Park Visitor’s Center. Individuals and families dealing with cancer are welcome to join us.

Eat Smart Move More Coalition will meet 1:30 at the Gates County Community Center.  Plans are being developed for the 2012 Family Fun & Fitness Day scheduled for September 22.

GP4H Injury Prevention Committee will meet 10:30 at Doris & Rogers Restaurant.  Focus for the meeting is partnering with another county for a Safe Kids Coalition in Gates County.

Gates County Farmers Market will open for the season.   The hours of operation will be 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  During the month of June the operational hours will be Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 6 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM. Eat Healthy, Buy Locally is the motto

GP4H Board Meeting will be held stating at 10:00 for business agenda.  At 11:00 invited guest from Care Share Health Alliance will provide a presentation detailing their partnership with Healthy Carolinians Foundation.  All GP4H Partnership members are invited to attend.  The County Manager and County Commissioners are also invited to attend.  Lunch will be provided.
